1995 Acura Integra Special Edition. Was looking for a car that I could drive during winter. I was attracted to the car because it wasn't messed with like obnoxious aftermarket parts. Front seats were reupholstered. Car was fairly clean other than the perforation in the body. Later on, I find out how bad it really is. Car wouldn't crank, no power to anything. Replaced the battery and still nothing. Found the Main fuse blown, possibly from crossing battery cables. Replaced that and away I went!
Password JDM was going out of business so I grabbed a few things. Billet cam plug, rear wiper delete and valve cover bolts.
I finally had time to replace headlight assemblies and install the new horns. HUGE difference!
Little tune up. Replaced spark plugs and plug wires. Removed valve cover to repaint it and also installed the billet cam plug.
The car was really sluggish to drive and found the catalytic converter clogged. Closer inspection, the entire exhaust is in very rough shape. Purchased a complete stainless exhaust system from eBay. The header flange had to be removed because it clearly would not work with the new test pipe.
Since my dumb dumb brain bought a stainless exhaust kit, I couldn't weld the muffler on myself. Took it to a local exhaust shop. Very happy with sound and their work.
Only one working speaker in the car. Ordered new JBL speakers for the front and rear. Rear I installed later.
Starting to get warm outside so I wanted to see why the A/C didn't work. Clutch was bad on the compressor.
To help with road noise and exhaust noise, I ordered sound deadening mats to lay down in the trunk. It really really quieted everything down, very happy with that product. While the rear interior was torn apart I finally replaced the rear speakers. No wonder speakers were blown...they were junk Sony Xplodes.
Such a nightmare. The new A/C Compressor from RockAuto was busted and leaking refrigerant oil. They did not honor the warranty. Ordered a Denso Compressor to replace it.
The rear seat bottoms and seatbacks were very sun dried. I sent them off to get reupholstered.
The A/C fan didn't work all the time and would also turn on when the car was off. (Do not confuse with radiator fan, they are separate)
Replaced both fan relays also. You can see the new condenser. Got the seats back from the upholstery shop. Did a great job!
Painted some trim that definitely discolored. Ran the audio and power wires to the new powered subwoofer from Crutchfield.
